4/13
The second of the par 5s offers another birdie opportunity, despite playing such a long way up hill. A left to right shaped fairway asks for a similar shaped tee shot, often helped by the Fremantle Doctor blowing over the player’s left shoulder on the tee. Care is needed to avoid two large bunkers on the right side of the fairway. A drive catching one of these will be penalized with little more than an 8 or 9 iron second shot leaving a long third. Driving left of the bunkers, or over for the long hitters, will leave a good opportunity to reach the green in two. The green itself is one of the more difficult with a very large tier separating top and bottom. The top shelf in particular is shallow and approaching or chipping to a pin on this level isn’t easy.
